Hey guys! Today we're going to go way back in time.... In 5th & 6th grade my friend and I decided to become little entrepreneurs. We made bath salts and earrings as well as other things and would sell them every Friday at our schools cafeteria to raise money for charity.

I've used the recipe so many times since then. My little sisters birthday party, a school project, even a last minute Fathers Day spa.

Three years after I discovered the recipe, I still use it. I thought I'd share it with you guys because it is literally the easiest thing in the whole entire world. No joke.

WAIT A MINUTE, ELIZA. THAT SAYS HOW TO HAVE THE BEST SPA DAY EVER. Yep, get ready to relax, because I am giving you guys a roundup of spa DIY's, do's and don'ts, and what to do, all in the simplest form possible. None of those crazy 20 ingredients and 50 steps and then store in a cool environment stuff. This can all be done simply and with little preparation.

First things first, bath salts. And I am not joking when I say this is the simplest thing you will ever come across.

Homemade Bath Salts:

- 1 cup epsom salt

- 1/4 cup sea salt/table salt

- essential oil of your choice

Optional:

- food coloring

1. Mix the salts together in a small container.

2. Add 2-3 drops essential oil. I recommend 1-2 drops to start, and more if needed.

3. Add food coloring if wanted.

See? Easiest thing ever. Add a ribbon/washi tape to turn it into a quick gift. Mix with a lotion for a spa kit. Or set it in your bathroom to keep it for yourself ;).

Now, onto setting up your spa day. Find a quiet room. Dim some lights. Light a candle if you'd like. And if you're really feeling fancy, sprinkle some rose petals around the room.

Now dig deep into your bathroom drawer and get out all those lotions you've had forever and only used twice. Every single one. Yep, even that one thats older then you are. Arrange them nicely then voilà! You have a spa.

If you're like me, you'll be proud even with the littlest amount of work and want to congratulate yourself with a snack. So pull out that cutting board and chop some fruit because we are making spa water. Here you go: not one, not two, but FIFTEEN spa water recipes:

Now you have your spa set up and something nice to drink. What next? Isn't your spa already perfect? Not quite yet.

Spa Do's and Don'ts

Do make sure your spa has music

Don't choose music that isn't relaxing

Do make sure your music is quiet

Don't blast your music throughout the whole world

Do chose a dimly lit area

Don't leave all the lights on and all the curtains open

Do decorate your spa a little

Don't just think your bathroom is enough

Do make sure no one will bother you in your spa

Don't leave the door open for the world to come in

Do relax and have fun

Don't be stressed if your spa isn't perfect

Do look at this list and follow it

Don't forget to share

I create spas all the time, and although I'm nowhere near a professional, I've come up with some tips.

- Try to keep your bath salts dry before using them. A few drops of water can make the salts clumpy or even make them dissolve.

- Shake your bath salts regularly. Leaving them out for weeks can result in huge, hard chunks of salt.

- Play relaxing music softly in the background.

- If possible, use lavender. It is known to relax. Try using lavender lotion, lavender scented bath salts, or just diffuse lavender into the room.

- Take as long as you want. If you're think "darn, I've gotta take those cookies out of the oven in 15 minutes, I'll just be quick," it'll be nearly impossible to relax. Make sure nothing needs to be done while you're away in your private spa.

- Trick someone into massaging you. Its so nice to have even a kid massage you for just a minute. You can even go out and get one done.

- Leave snacks in your spa. Cookies, fruit, chips, anything so you don't have to leave your spa for a long time.

See? That wasn't that hard, was it? Now go and treat yourself to some alone time in your bathroom. Relax, and make sure to leave all your worries outside the door.
